Crazy Horse Stampede Rodeo
busts out each June

18th annual Stampede June 13-15

The Crazy Horse Stampede Rodeo is held mid-June each year on the grounds of Crazy Horse Memorial in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Crazy Horse Memorial is 35 miles southwest of Rapid City on Highway 16/385.

It is one of the few rodeos with both a Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association (PRCA) events and Great Plains Indian Rodeo Association (GPIRA) events.

Crazy Horse Memorial supports the Crazy Horse Stampede to further the Memorial's goals of cultural understanding. Rodeo chairwoman A. R. Ziolkowski says, "If we can play together we can work together."

The 2008 GPIRA rodeo will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, June 13. The PRCA-sanctioned action runs at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 14-15. The Stampede is a one go-round event. (2007 results.)

Daily rodeo admission is $9 for adults and $3.50 for children (under 6 admitted free). Tickets may be purchased at the Crazy Horse main entrance or at the entrance to the rodeo grounds on the day of the rodeo. Crazy Horse Memorial admission is free with rodeo admission.
